Door Installation Guidelines

Uniformity with Other Doors
The new door must match the design and appearance of other front doors within the building to maintain a consistent aesthetic. The colour, finish, and overall design must be in keeping with the style of the other flat front doors in the block. We recommend consulting with the property management team to ensure uniformity.
Door Furniture
The door furniture (including handles, locks, letterboxes, etc.) must also be in keeping with the design and style of the other doors. Specifically:
- All door furniture must be fire-rated and meet current fire safety standards. This includes locks, handles, and any glazing or glass features incorporated into the door.
- The specific fire rating requirements will depend on the local fire safety regulations and building safety standards. It is your responsibility to ensure the selected door furniture is compliant.
Fitting by Qualified Contractor
The door must be fitted by a competent contractor who is appropriately qualified and insured. The contractor should provide evidence of their qualifications. The installation must be carried out in accordance with all relevant building codes, fire safety regulations, and health and safety standards.
Fire Safety Compliance
The door must meet the required fire-resistance rating, which may be dictated by building regulations or fire safety guidelines. The fire-resistance rating of the door and any door furniture must comply with fire safety regulations to ensure the safety of all residents.
